They're lovely Katy. I've got so many ideas from the bag issue, so I think I'll be making them for the August craft fair. Smaller items sell quicker. Tessa xx |

Katy, in the pattern, Brenda mentions for materials '30 main fabric'.... does she mean 30cm of main fabric? Tessa x |

Oh yes, you need 6 1/2in x wof for the bag part, and 2in x wof plus 2in x about 10in for the handle, so that means about 10 1/2in wof, which isn't far off 30cm, I'll correct it Edited By Katy on 19/05/2015 19:50:42 |

Ok, no worries Katy...I've read the instructions through and it all makes sense...it's a great pattern...easy and very effective. Must try this one. I'll check with Brenda to see if I can make a couple for my next craft fair. |

Hi Everyone, Glad you like the pattern! It's so easy and if any of you wish to make some for your craft fairs then please feel free to go ahead! Good idea to try paper first Maria but keep well away from happy puppies! This weekend is our annual retreat. Three fabulous days when we can just sit & sew chat & drink coffee and don't have to worry about cooking etc. The folding luggage label is our quick evening project so I thought I would share it with you. One of our members will be returning to the UK after 4 years in Oz. She has been a great asset to our club and we shall all miss her. She's going to live in Plymouth and if any of you know of quilt groups or quilt shops in the area then I will pass it on to her. Happy Stitching Brenda in OZ! |

Thanks Brenda, you are so clever, I really enjoyed making both bag and luggage label, so I'm sure your retreat friends will have fun. I don't know any quilters in Plymouth anymore but there are a couple of groups Plymstock Patchers: Dianne Filby 01752 862200 Sound Stitchers: Patricia King 01752 550279 atriciaannking@rocketmail.com">patriciaannking@rocketmail.com and here's a list of craft shops with one quilt shop

Made this today for oldest GS's girlfriend. I used heavy duty vilene but in future I will use medium weight. Lovely little bag and very quick to make. |
